Following the announcements from the previous entries, I enclose the second chapter of my book. It is titled „On the need for personalist economics”. At the beginning, one of the attempts to humanize the mainstream economy, namely economic personalism, was briefly discussed. Two other initiatives in this direction were then characterised, namely the so-called 'civil economy’ of L. Bruni and S. Zamagni and P. Dembinski’s work on the so-called financialization of the economy. In the third subchapter an attempt is made to demonstrate the common features of these initiatives and their evaluation. And the fourth subsection of this chapter is devoted to a brief discussion of the purpose, subject matter and axioms of personalist economics. The content of this chapter proves that there is indeed a need for personalist economics
